Dr. Sophie Scamps is the Independent MP for Mackellar, elected in 2022. She has lived and worked on the northern beaches of Sydney for 25 years, serving the community as a doctor in the Emergency Department of Mona Vale Hospital and as a GP in Narrabeen. She founded the non-profit organization Our Blue Dot in 2019 to reduce waste and emissions. Sophie is also a former athlete, having competed internationally in track and field. She holds degrees from the University of Sydney, Oxford University and the University of NSW
