Politicians often talk about supporting farmers, but their actions speak differently. Deb Leonard is no such politician.

Deb has taken the time to sit down with members from all parts of the farming and agriculture industry across Gippsland to discuss with them the challenges they face, and talk through the most appropriate solutions.

From this feedback, Deb Leonard has formed a specific policy to support farming and agriculture in Gippsland. This includes:

• Ensuring the farming community has a voice with all levels of government
• Improving transport corridors and support produce to market
• Addressing biosecurity risks in close consultation with the industry
• Dealing with workforce shortages through greater apprenticeships and education opportunities and housing supply for agricultural workers.

For too long, our region has been ignored by the major parties. Deb Leonard is straighttalking, hard-working local who will put our community first.

As an independent, she doesn't get caught up in parly politics. She can work with either side of politics to get results.

We live in one of the most productive food bowls in the country. It is vital we recognise the importance of agriculture to Monash. Deb will fight to protect our farmers.
